HOA to Take Vets Home over Displaying American Flag

Larry Murphree, a veteran in Florida, could lose his home because he displayed a small American flag in a flower pot in front of his home.

American Flag

According to Murphree, the FirstService Residential homeowners’ association in Jacksonville, Florida is demanding that he remove the flag because it violates home display rules. Furthermore, the HOA has placed a foreclosure lien on his house for the $8,000 in fees they say he owes for illegally displaying his flag.

“I want it to go away. It’s such a minor little thing and they keep coming after me,” Murphree told WAWS. “They just sent me a letter that says I owe them around $8,000 and they put a foreclosure lien on my house.”

Murphree has 30 days to pay the fines and remove the flag or the homeowners’ association will move forward with the foreclosure.

How have we come to a place where this type of abuse is acceptable?

The HOA group is obviously anti-American; something that is becoming far to common in today’s society. This is the flag of our country, to try to take someones home for proudly displaying it is not only Anti-American, it’s just plain evil.
